AUSTRALIAN WILD GAME HARVESTER

Adam Neilson is a wild game harvester specialising in sustainably harvested wild venison. Adam is a licensed harvester and trained in the ethical shot, meaning the animals experience no stress in dispatch, especially as he works at night.
Deers are an introduced species and cause havoc on the local environment.
They destroy native vegetation by trampling plants, grazing, and ring-barking young trees, fouling waterholes & causing soil erosion.
Wild deer are free to roam and graze with no chemical inputs and no restrictions on diet or movement. This means the meat
has almost no saturated fat, and is high in zinc, iron, protein, B vitamins thiamine, riboflavin, niacin and vitamin B-12.

Adam has his own processing facility where he processes the meat and sells it at several Markets in and around Noosa, Queensland.
By removing this introduced species from the natural environment it leaves room for our native species to thrive...

The bull rider

Australian bull riding has been called "the most dangerous eight seconds in sports." To receive a score, the rider must stay on top of an angry bull for eight seconds with the use of one hand gripped on a bull rope.

Dan Ruhland comes from a line of champion bull riders with his grandfather and father being heavily involved in Australian bull riding competitions throughout the years. I met Dan who was competing in the Woolooga Honkytonk Rodeo, Queensland. Dan has been riding bulls since he was a kid and has broken most of the bones in his body.

Candice from Doonside

In 2014, I was commissioned by Welsey Mission to interview Candice, a mother of 3 living in a housing commission neighbourhood out at Doonside in Western Sydney.

Candice had been sexually abused as a child which had a huge effect on her life as a teenager and now a mother. She had a history of drug and alcohol abuse, had been suffering from severe depression, was diagnosed with bipolar, and had an abusive ice addict partner.

I was really affected after interviewing Candice and listening to her story. I felt sorry for her and the children living out at Doonside in that sort of environment. I reached out to her several times after the interview and offered to take her & the kids to Bondi Beach for the day.... She refused and in the end, I lost contact with her.

KANGAROO PAW

The kangaroo paw blossoms feature pointed lobes and are densely covered in hairs that are usually red, orange, yellow or green. From a distance, clustered groups of these velvety, tubular flowers mimic the shape of marsupial toes

The Anigozanthos genus has 11 different species, ranging in various hues of velvety flowers, from red and orange to green and yellow.

Additionally, the plant has been used by Indigenous Australians for medicinal purposes, with the roots of some species being used to treat a variety of ailments, including headaches and skin conditions. In terms of cultivation, Kangaroo Paw is considered easy to grow and maintain
